Ouvido pelo Debate a respeito das concessões de aumento no vale-alimentação, equiparação do valor entre servidores e agentes de saúde e criação do 13º do vale-alimentação, o prefeito Edgar de Souza (PSDB) argumentou que o déficit da Prefeitura foi reduzido para R$ 5 milhões — chegou a bater em R$ 28 milhões nos tempos mais agudos da crise econômica do país.
Edgar, que completou 41 anos na segunda-feira, dia 12, garantiu que as contas municipais estão equilibradas e reafirmou que o dinheiro do pré-sal, reduzido para R$ 1,8 milhão (a estimativa inicial era de R$ 3,8 milhões), será todo investido em obras de infraestrutura e não precisará usá-lo para pagar contas. O prefeito disse, também, que a segunda parcela do 13º salário já está reservada. “A gente tem feito um esforço muito grande para deixar as contas em ordem. Durante um grande período tivemos um baixo investimento, mas a gente conseguiu colocar as contas em dia. Acredito que o pior da crise já passou. As coisas estão se estabilizando. A economia do país ainda não está reagindo da forma que a gente desejava, mas, pelo menos, parou de piorar e começa a dar pequenos sinais de avanço”, comentou.
